Toonz Academy, the animation-training wing of Technopark based animation studio, Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd has announced the launch of a 12-month animation course with an option for 6 months internship at the Toonz Studio in Trivandrum. On the successful completion of the course, the students get to work on a live project at the studio. Toonz Animation has an impressive list of projects for entertainment majors like Cartoon Network, BBC, Marvel, Paramount, and Sony.

“ It is very important to supplement what they have learned in the classes with a feel of the live production process. This would enable the students to fine tune their skills to suit the demands of the industry” says Mr. Ramaprasad, Executive Director, Toonz Academy. “ This is one of its kind offered by any recognised animation training institute in India and would be a welcome opportunity for the selected students to work on world-class projects” adds Ramaprasad.

The academy offers a 12 month advanced diploma in Digital Arts and Animation validated by the European Carolus Magnus University, Belgium. “ The internship would run as an extension of the 12 months course, and the students have to undertake a skill based test to get through to the internship” said Mr. Gernale, Dean of the Academy.
