Toonz Academy has established state-of-the-art campuses in major cities across the country. Toonz Academy was started as an in-house training division of Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. After one year of successful running, the promoters identified this as a potential revenue model and decided to expand the capacity to train students in media related education. Toonz Academy was established in the year 2003, and later put under the aegis of AIFMS in the year 2006. The first centre of the academy was opened in Trivandrum, in proximity to the Toonz Animation studio in Technopark, which is now moved within Toonz animation studio.

Toonz-Webel Academy, India's first freestanding animation academy was established in Calcutta in the year 2004. This academy was a symbiotic partnership with Toonz and Webel (West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd). Now the academy has presence in Jabalpur and Lucknow. The Academy also offers a portfolio of short-term courses in animation and visual effects.
