Toonz Academy has established state-of-the-art campuses in major cities across the country. The first centre was set up in the year 2003 in Trivandrum, in proximity to the Toonz Animation Studio. Toonz-Webel Academy, India's first freestanding animation academy was established in Calcutta in the year 2004. This academy was a symbiotic partnership with Toonz and Webel (West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd).

Year 2007 was a landmark year, with new centres in the cities of Nagpur, Delhi and Hyderabad. Continuing its phenomenal expansion, centres in Ahmedabad and Indore were set up in May 2008 and the Calicut centre in December 2008. Furthering the presence across India, centres in Chennai, Bhopal and Jabalpur were opened in the earlier part of 2009.
